Transport
The Logistics / Transport Officer (LGT) is primarily responsible for
issues involving vehicles, as well as general
ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Executive Officer.
The LGT reports to the Executive Officer and
serves as an ad-hoc TAC Officer as well as general duty assistant
to the XO.
The duties of the Logistics / Transport Officer
include:
Insuring compliance by all parties with respect to CAP vehicles use
during or in transport to/from the event.
Required
inspections, loading issues, CAP DL of all drivers, etc.
Secruing the keys and properly parking / marking
cadet POV's upon arrival.
Addressing parking and vehicle storage issues as may
occur during the encampment.
Providing support to Administration as directed by the XO during in/out
processing and graduation.
Set-up of meeting and classrooms if needed,
including insuring A/V systems are operational in advance of classes.
Other general duties as assigned in support of the
Executive Officer.
Those interested in serving as Logistics /
Transport Officer should have a working knowledge of the CAP vehicle
regulations
and policies, CAP Safety polices, CAP Mishap reporting regulations, and
some expereince working with cadets at their
home squadron. Previous encampment is preferred, but not necessary.
The
majority of the participation occurs during the encampment, however
some participation in the
planning process may be required, especially with discussions of
available resources and general base layout.
RST is required, and the LGT should be be available
for the entire
encampment, preferably for the entirety of both Fridays.
